Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB (publ) ("Enviro", "the company") has submitted an application for a construction permit through the property owner, Fratera, for the planned recycling plant in Uddevalla, Sweden.
The construction permit application pertains to the previously announced recycling plant that the company plans to establish on an industrial site in the Lillesjö district of Uddevalla Municipality. The application follows the environmental permit for the planned facility, which was granted to Enviro in June of this year, and which was also previously announced by the company. The facility will have the capacity to process up to 60,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres per year, which would suffice for the recycling of half of Sweden’s total annual volume of end-of-life tyres.
A final decision on establishment of the new plant is dependent on several factors, such as securing access to end-of-life tyres and agreements covering deliveries of recovered materials.
